Hi Warren,

Thank you for commenting on my fiasco.

I've been dealing with noise and signal suckers so long, I'm afraid I have no idea to what you are referring. To my knowledge, I have no way to adjust the frequency of ANYTHING, (:-)) let alone X10, but I'm sure willing to learn. Please tell me more.

Thanks,

George

The so called 60 cycle AC might be off a bit (lower or higher) which might explain that you did not have this issue previously. What frequency broadcasts the X-10 signal? Maybe instead of filtering the harmonic (noise) you could modify it to a range that would not trip an ON or OFF signal. Just thinking out loud.

I am closing in on the (Presumably electrical) problem which presently is the fact that a new 120 VAC GFI breaker or even a new whole house filter on both phases, this time the Leviton 51120-1, can totally discombobulate about five of my X10 unit's signals if left connected in my breaker box. The units are on both phases. This has been very odd.

They, too, have now been addressed, however, one of them was our new washing machine for which I installed a 15A fuzed plug in filter which soon fried the fuse. I haven't had a chance yet, but installing an XPF filter at the breaker box on this dedicated breaker might resolve that.

I think I remember reading that James did this sometime ago, but my search on the list couldn't find any confirmation. I have developer friends that suggest this new OS might help my XTension woos. That just doesn't seem reasonable to me.
